Sharing

How do I share where I am?

Open Neerly, pick On my way (live, with an optional destination and ETA) or Right now (a status like "At the gym"), choose people and how long, and tap Start. They get a link. When the time is up, or you arrive, the share ends and your location is deleted.

Do the people I share with need the app?

No. They tap the link and watch in their browser, on any phone or computer.

Can I stop sharing early?

Yes: Stop sharing on the live screen, any time.

Does Neerly keep sharing when my phone is locked?

In the iPhone and Android app, yes, during a share you started, if you allow location "Always" (iPhone) or keep the "Sharing your location" notification (Android). It stops when the share ends. On the website, browsers pause location when the phone locks.

Meetups

How do meetups work?

In the Meetups tab, plan a meetup (name, place, time) and send the link. Friends join with a free account. Nobody shares until they tap "I'm on my way"; then everyone sees everyone's buddy on one map. Sharing stops when you arrive or the meetup ends.

Notifications

I don't get notifications

Turn them on in Neerly (Profile → Notifications), then check your phone's settings: Settings → Neerly → Notifications. On the website on iPhone, notifications only work when Neerly is added to the Home Screen.

I forgot my password

On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? and we'll email you a link.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Profile → Delete account. Or see Delete your account.

Privacy

Your location exists only while you share and is deleted when the share ends. No ads, no selling, no trackers. Read the Privacy Policy.

Safety

Neerly is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.
